In a quaint town where he spends his own summer weekends, Steven Gambrel just finished a dreamy coastal cottage.

I finally had lunch at Café Clover in the West Village yesterday. It’s a restaurant I’ve been dying to try, not for its menu—although it was delicious—but for its interior design. Leather banquettes in a perfect shade of blue, antiqued mirror panels, glossy black window frames, oversized sconces and a bar made out of the most beautiful veined marble.

I’m a huge fan of Steven Gambrel‘s designs. And after visiting his latest restaurant project yesterday, I had to look up his website to see what he had been up to since my last post. I wasn’t disappointed. In latest news: a Sag Harbor home that strangely looks like his own Hamptons escape. The kitchen is my favorite room: more perfect shades of blue, his signature shaker cabinets and marble countertops. In the sitting room, an extra deep sofa and a couple of oversized sconces.

What to Pack for Montauk

Packing for Montauk, NY • on @SavvyHome

Meet me in Montauk…

Packing for Montauk, NY • on @SavvyHome

I’m super excited to be packing for a girls weekend in Montauk today! To be honest, I’m kind of struggling with my packing (I feel like I need a shopping spree stat). BUT if I had it my way, this is exactly what I would pack. Four versatile outfits to take me from day to night; and from the beach to dinner. The key to Montauk style is to keep your outfits simple, chic and to the point. Flats are definitely the way to go as the flooring of choice in many places consists of sand, pebbles or grass… And a good frizz control hair product is essential!

Lauren, a few gal pals and I will be staying at the Montauk Yacht Club, so follow along on Insta and Snapchat!

On the to-do list

Have a glass of rosé at Wölffer’s Wine Stand

Have dinner at Moby’s

Hit Ruschmeyer’s for one last time before it closes 🙁

Stop by Navy Beach

Watch the sunset at Crow’s Nest

Try the new and improved Gurney’s

Check out the new Harbor MTK

Obviously make a pit stop at Serena & Lily‘s Beach Shop

And MAYBE make a detour to Sunset Beach

Inside the World of Marysia Swim

I’m convinced that, like me, you’ve lusted over Marysia Swim‘s swimsuits before. Maybe you pulled the trigger and bought one (lucky you)! I’ve always loved the bikinis’ signature scalloped-edges, seeing Marysia Reeve’s home and studio gave me a new appreciation for her brand. This girl has style all around!

Three years ago Marysia re-located her headquarters (and her family!) from a Manhattan loft, to the sunny shores of Santa Monica. She enlisted the help of interior designer Sarah Rosenhaus to give her home and studio into a fresh breezy bohemian makeover. Cozy Moroccan textiles  and tibetan lamb wool co-exist with crisp mid-century lines and statement art in bright colors. Leafy palms and fig trees give a finishing touch to the home that Marysia shares with her husband Nathaniel, daughters Tola and Elle, and their pup Peanut. The result is a beachy bohemian essence that translates from her brand to her home.

“When I set out to design this home I knew exactly what I wanted to create: a beach-y, layered and relaxed environment. I yearned to balance the modern architecture with the texture of natural elements and rich history of vintage finds.”

If a genie came out of a bottle and offered me to swap lives with anyone in the world, I’d pick Athena Calderone. Not only is she the queen of entertaining, cooking, interior designing and blogging, but her sense of style, family life and joie de vivre is seemingly perfect.

First, her duplex penthouse in NYC is what dreams are made of. She spends her weekends in this beautiful 60s midcentury modern Amagansett home—one of my favorite Hamptons town because of its laid-back and unassuming vibe.

When she’s not busy decorating or blogging, she’s probably entertaining for cool kids like Leandra Medine and Hannah Bronfman, throwing a summer soirée with Nate Berkus and Sean MacPhearson (uhm, dream dinner guests alert!) or whipping up a parmesan and truffle risotto with Café Clover chef David Standridge. I mean, can you even? I can’t.
