“On Harbour, even the most proper people become much more relaxed”
I’ve been dreaming of going to Harbour Island — the remote island in the Bahamas allures with its pink sand beaches, colonial style architecture and golf cart only policy. Not to mention it is only accessible by water taxi from the island of Eleuthera. While I’d be more tempted to visit the Bahamas in the Spring or Fall, this seaside retreat designed by Alessandra Branca is giving me the urge to go. She chose the pink palette to play off the pink sands beach on which the house is located and to warm up the cool blue hues coming from the ocean. I’m loving the distressed dirftwood-like panels and all the coral seashell accents. My favorite room would have to be the bathroom — it’s simple, understated but with a chandelier, mirror and library sconces that pack a punch.
