Picture this: waking up to linen curtains flowing, palms swaying, and waves crashing—the smell of fresh croissants and coffee. Welcome to St. Barts where island charm meets French flair. Take just a few steps, and dip your toes in the clear turquoise pool. Villa Palmier is nestled in the St. Bart’s hills, with towering views over the red tin roofs and sailboats below. Take just a few steps more and find yourself at the local boulangerie, or buying freshly caught fish right at the source.
The house, owned by Matt and Kate Holstein, an Aspen couple who fell in love with the island at first sight, is meticulously designed to suit a laid-back yet refined lifestyle: kilim rugs, linen sofas, woven pendants. “With a passion for both the ocean and French culture, St. Barts stole our hearts. We believe in a curated home, where every part of the house has a story, a purpose and aesthetic appeal. We are passionate about timeless, simple, elegant design, and spaces that cultivate a sense of well being.”
I couldn’t think of a better place to getaway with a few friends than Villa Palmier in St. Barts. A place where you can at once read a book in the hammock swaying over the pool, play dominoes, drink rosé, and have a dance party in the living. And the cooking—that’s easy: between the abundance of French delicacies, and the gorgeous Lacanche range, there’s lots to be inspired about.
