The Weekender No. 243

Off the shoulder top — By Sandra Semburg

I spent last weekend in Montauk, and it was the perfect way to hit the restart button, wind down, and remind me why I moved to New York. As much as I love this city, the day-to-day grind can get real here—so it’s important to remind yourself of those pinch me moments that make you love the city so much. For me, it’s being able to shoot east for a weekend, and stay for a while after all the Memorial Day party goers have gone—and driving back to the city light late at night. Monday was foggy af in Montauk, and it felt as if Amy and I were the only NYers remaining in Montauk and Amagansett. I get why locals love their off-season so much—you get a totally new appreciation for the Hamptons when you get to have a lazy brunch in an empty Gurney’s, meet locals like the infamous Jack’s, stroll through near empty shops, and linger until the very last second.

I went shopping this weekend, and couldn’t resist this top and these pants. I also got a new pair of sunglasses, and a dress for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic this weekend!
