I apologize for the ultimate Friday post cliché but—I really can’t believe it’s the weekend already! I spent most of the week getting settled into my new place. I was surprisingly calm during the actual move, but sometimes around last Sunday, it hit me: I was exhausted. Not just in the “I need a good night’s sleep” kind of way. More in a “I need a week long vacation or else I can’t function” kind of way.

Needless to say I didn’t go on a vacation, but I did spend an evening at the spa yesterday, so there’s that. I took it easy the rest of the week and took the time to do really mundane things like shopping for groceries, going to Home Depot (thrilling I know) and getting back into a normal work/life balance. I also got completely hooked on Duolingo and have been spending all my free time learning Spanish (dork alert!) — Hey, it’s more constructive than Candy Crush amiright!? On this note: le deseo un maravilloso fin de semana [insert flamingo dancer emoji].

West Elm is offering 20% off on lighting this weekend, which is convenient since their lighting section is the bomb.com. Point proven again and again and again and again.
