Trending in March: Animal Legs

It seems as though ever since the Jeffrey Alan Marks / John Dickinson table debacle on Million Dollar Decorators, tables, chairs and even lamps with animal legs have been popping up everywhere. Either that or I had never noticed them before.

The iconic African white plaster side table in question was designed in the ’70s by American decorator and furniture designer John Dickinson. The originals are now rare but you can occasionally find them on 1st Dibs for around $20,000!

For a similar look with a friendlier price tag, Oly Studio’s Ari side table is a quirky lookalike and can be found on Candelabra for a much more affordable $832.

John Dickinson’s range of white plaster furniture included many things from stools to tables to lamps. The lamps above have been featured in many homes of the rich including Daniel Romualdez’s Beverly Hills house and Tory Burch’s Southhampton home.

Oly Studio now has a wide range of quirky furniture featuring a variety of animal legs from hoofs to feline paws. Drum & Co. also have a few fun options.

1. Ari Side Table | 2. Faline Library Table | 3. Ajax Side Chair | 4. Goat Leg Bench

What do you think of the look? Would you ever buy furniture with animal legs for your house? I absolutely love the look but given my budget, I’d probably go with a small side table from Oly Studio!
