“I wasn’t captivated by the romance of Paris or London. I love visiting, but I’d rather be in L.A.”
You may already know that I’m a long term fan of The Apartment by The Line (as evidenced here and here). So naturally, when I found out that they were opening a LA outpost in West Hollywood, I needed to find out more.
It turns out the Melrose Place shop has a decidedly more relaxed Californian flair, than its sister shop in SoHo on the East Coast. “The site of The Apartment reflects the city’s expansive inclinations”. It’s open, warm and airy.
From coffee table books to luxury bath products, you can buy every single item in this ultra curated space. The Apartment merges one-of-a-kind pieces: vintage Jean Royère sconces and unique artwork, with ready-to-buy items like scented room diffusers and the latest collections from various fashion houses. The result is an organic space in which one could imagine oneself living… A curated representation of real life well-lived, if you will.
If the NYC counterpart is any indication, The Apartment will probably become the most photographed décor store on the West Coast. Here’s a glimpse of what it looked like on opening day! Tour the Los Angeles Apartment here.
